Job Description
At Mage Marketer, we believe in empowering businesses to scale through smart marketing and data-driven strategies. We are seeking a passionate and energetic Business Development Intern who is eager to learn the ropes of client acquisition, market expansion, and relationship management.
As a Business Development Intern, you will play a key role in identifying opportunities, generating leads and assisting our business team in converting prospects into long-term clients. This internship will provide you with real-world exposure to sales, marketing, and client communication, making it a stepping stone to a rewarding career in business development and digital marketing.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct in-depth market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, potential markets and emerging business opportunities.
Assist in lead generation and prospect outreach through multiple channels such as email campaigns, LinkedIn networking and telephonic follow-ups.
Support senior business development executives in drafting proposals, pitch decks and client presentations to secure new projects.
Maintain, manage, and update the CRM database with lead information, follow-ups and status updates to ensure data accuracy.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement campaigns that boost brand visibility and client engagement.
Prepare weekly and monthly reports on lead generation, conversion status and business growth insights for management review.
Skills & Qualifications
- Essential Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with diverse clients.
- Strong analytical and research abilities to evaluate markets and understand customer needs.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and ability to prepare reports and presentations.
- Familiarity with CRM tools, digital marketing basics, and online research methods.
- High level of adaptability, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Preferred Skills
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Management or related fields.
- Strong academic background with a genuine interest in business and client management.
- Prior internship or project experience in sales, marketing, or business development will be an added advantage.
- Awareness of digital marketing concepts, online lead generation and sales funnels.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
